LIGHT UP BLUE RIDGE and BLUE FRIDAY is the largest weekend event every year in downtown Blue Ridge. It is occurs the Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving. Many families, residents and visitors come to town to join in the celebration of kicking off the Holiday Season. It is a magical experience and a glimpse of what Small Town America is all about.
We would like to start a new tradition in Downtown Blue Ridge this year. We will be selling beautiful, fresh cut, 32” round Fraser Fir wreaths with a large red bow and a metal tag that will be personalized for the person buying the wreath. The wreaths can be personalized “In Memory of a Loved One” or can be a person’s name, a pet’s name, a short prayer or bible verse. The tags are 1” X 3” and are hand written so brief wording is mandatory
The wreaths will be hung all over the downtown area on light poles, telephone poles, gates, doorways, fences and will lead people to the downtown area in a festive and elegant style. Our goal is to make the downtown a beautiful Winter Holiday Wonderland with traditional decorations from Small Town America’s history.
You can also take advantage of this opportunity if you would like to purchase additional wreaths for your business, home or church. Any church wishing to participate in this effort by promoting the wreath sales will receive 50% of the net profits from the wreaths they sell.
Wreaths will sell for $25 each that includes the wreath, bow and tag. All wreaths will be placed in the downtown by November 25th.
