Decorating the Park

We are Starting a New

Tradition This Year.

Remember when you were a child and your parents packed the family into the car and went to your “favorite” neighborhood to see the Christmas decorations?  Well we want to create the same thing on a smaller scale in the park downtown.

Individuals, churches, clubs, businesses, school classes, EVERYONE is welcome to build their own mini scene and install it in the park.

  • Here is no cost to participate.
  • You can have a space approximately 10 ft by 10 ft but your scene does not have to be that large if you don’t want/need that much space.
  • Your scene needs to be up Thanksgiving week (prior to Thanksgiving Day) and taken down the week between Christmas and New Year.
  • If you do not want to have lights, that is fine.  If you want to have your scene illuminated in the evening you will need to provide your own power, preferably solar.
  • You are encouraged to include a small sign letting everyone know who created the scene.  The sign should include name of your organization or business and your logo, if you have one

If you or your group is interested in creating your own holiday scene in the park please let Pam Fink know so we can save a spot for you.

Interested but need ideas?  Check out Pintrest and the pictures below.
