2017 Schedule of Activities

November 24th. –  Blue Friday

  • Noon to 5 pm – Town wide holiday music will be playing
  • Noon to 5 pm – Holiday characters will be wandering around downtown
  • 5:30 pm – Town Wide Caroling (meet on Depot Street across from Chester’s – bring flashlight)

November 25th. –  Light Up Blue Ridge

  • 10 am to 4 pm – Holiday Music playing
  • 11:15 am – Santa Arrives on the train
  • noon to 2 pm – Tuba Christmas – on the Train Deck
  • 3 to 4 pm – Brass Quartet
  • Noon to 5 pm – FCHS Theater Group preforming at Sycamore Crossing
  • Noon to 4 pm – Barbershop Quartet at Sycamore Crossing
  • 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm – Santa in the Gazebo visiting with children.  Feed Fannin will be taking the Santa pictures.
  • 2 to 3 pm Alex Higgins – On the stage in the park
  • 2 to 4 pm Quinn Leach  – On Depot St
  • 3 to 4 pm Brass Quartet – On the Train Deck
  • 3 to 4 pm – Voices of Hope – On the stage in the park
  • 3 to 4 pm – Connie Davis, kids choir
  • 5:30 pm – Parade starts
  • 6:45 pm – Winners of the Window Decorating Contest are announced
  • 7:00 pm – Lighting of the Great Tree
  • 7:05 pm – Colin Raye will be singing O’Holly Night

 

December 1st

  • 4:30-5:30 pm – Dan Adam’s Band – On the stage in the park
  • 5:30-6:30 pm – “Back Sliders” Trombone Quartet – At Sycamore Crossing

December 2nd

  • Noon to 5 pm – Santa will be in the Gazebo
  • Noon to 2 pm – 10 minute Christmas Carol at the top of each hour at Sycamore Crossing.  At the top of each hour.
  • Noon to 2 pm – Wyatt Espalin will be on stage in the park
  • 2 pm to 5 pm – Voices of Hope will be on stage in the park

December 8th

  • All outdoor events have been cancelled due to weather

December 9th

  • All outdoor events have been cancelled due to weather

December 15th

  • 5:30-6:30 pm – Town Wide Caroling (meet on Depot Street across from Chester’s – bring flashlight)

December 16th

  • noon to 1 pm – Stacy Smith on the stage
  • noon to 4 pm – Santa’s Elves will be visiting downtown
  • noon to 4 pm – Santa will be in the Gazebo
  • 2 pm to 3:30 pm – Voices of Hope will be on the stage in the park
  • 3:30 to 4 pm – Connie Davis on the stage
  • 4 to 5 pm – Frank Sinatra will be on the stage thanks to the Community Theater

December 22nd

  • 5:30-6:30 pm – “Back Sliders” Trombone Quartet – At Sycamore Crossing

December 23rd

  • Santa has left for the North Pole and will not be at the park
  • noon to 1 pm – Stacy Smith on the stage
  • Noon to 5 pm – Town wide holiday music will be playing
  • 1 to 4 pm – Barbershop Quartet at Sycamore Crossing
